Town of Garner issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.
Garner again has been selected to host The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter-size reproduction of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The Wall is slated to be installed temporarily near the Garner Veterans Memorial at Lake Benson Park March 31-April 3, 2022.
The Wall That Heals' visit to Garner is being sponsored by Show N Tell Ministries—led by Garner resident Tim Stevens—and by the Town of Garner.
Garner had been chosen to host The Wall That Heals in 2020 and 2021, but the installation was postponed both years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A mobile educational center will accompany The Wall That Heals. Details about activities that will be occurring in conjunction with The Wall That Heals' temporary installation in Garner will be shared at a later date. Look for updates at garnernc.gov and at this Facebook page.
