CITY OF RALEIGH: No Parking In Bike Lanes

Parkingsign

City of Raleigh issued the following announcement on Mar. 28.

Vehicle parking in bike lanes is an ongoing issue in the City of Raleigh. In this video, Director of Transportation Michael Moore and Mobility Coordinator Barbara Godwin discuss why parking in bike lanes is dangerous for both cyclists and drivers.

Hey, Raleigh! Remember to share the road!

  • Look carefully & let cyclists pass before turning.
  • Avoid distractions.
  • Check before opening your car door.
  • And NO parking in dedicated bike lanes.
These are just a few driving tips to help keep you and cyclists safe!

You can report bike lane obstructions and any other transportation related issues at: transportationinfo@raleighnc.gov.
