Town of Wake Forest issued the following announcement on June 10.
Due to Saturday’s inclement weather forecast, the grand opening of the Flaherty Park Outdoor Fitness Park is being postponed. Originally scheduled for Saturday, June 11, at 10 a.m., the grand opening will be rescheduled for later this month. A new date is expected to be announced next week.
Located at 1226 N. White St., the new outdoor fitness court is an open-air wellness center that allows users to leverage their own body weight to get a complete workout. Created with adults of all ages in mind, the Fitness Court is adaptable for all fitness levels.
