"Home Movie Day" is set to take place at the Top Greene Community Center on Saturday, May 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event invites individuals to bring their home movies or videos for preservation and digitization. Moving image archivists will be present to provide insights on the format, offer preservation advice, and create digital copies of the footage at no cost.

Participants are encouraged to explore their personal archives and unearth forgotten family gems. As the event organizers emphasize, "You do not have to publicly screen your film or video to have it digitized. You do not have to have a film or video to bring to participate in and enjoy this event!"

In addition to the preservation services, attendees can benefit from free consultations with A/V Geeks' expert staff. These consultations will be available in 15-minute slots on a first-come, first-serve basis, with the opportunity to digitize up to 15 minutes of footage while waiting.

Home Movie Day offers a unique chance for individuals to safeguard and share their family memories for generations to come. So, mark your calendars and get ready to rediscover the magic of old home movies at this special event.
