Starting Friday, May 24, paddling equipment will be available for rental onsite at Lake Johnson and Lake Wheeler through a third-party vendor, Wake Rack.
Similar to renting a bike or scooter in any major city, visitors can now rent kayaks and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) at both lakes. Locker systems are located at each lake's Waterfront Center, and equipment can be reserved online via phone or computer.
"We are excited to offer this service and kick off the summer season," stated an announcement from the organizing team. For more information on availability and instructions, interested individuals are encouraged to visit the websites of Lake Johnson and Lake Wheeler.
