The upcoming Juneteenth Jubilee 2024 will be held at John Chavis Memorial Park, featuring a ten-day series of free events celebrating African-American culture through history, entertainment, and the arts. The festivities begin on Monday, June 10, with varying event times suitable for all ages.
Additionally, Carolina Pines Park will host the Juneteenth Celebration at The Pines on Friday, June 14. This event is scheduled from 8 to 10 p.m., with gates opening at 7:30 p.m. It is designed for individuals aged 18 and up; however, a Kids Zone will be available for children aged 5-12. Admission is free.
Mordecai Historic Park will also participate in the celebrations with an event on Saturday, June 15. Activities are planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., open to all age groups without any cost.
Furthermore, Dorothea Dix Park will hold the Capital City Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 15. This event runs from noon to 6 p.m., welcoming attendees of all ages and offering free admission.
