Curious about nature? Interested in learning more about the environment? The Junior Birding program at Lake Lynn offers children an opportunity to explore the natural world. This initiative introduces young participants to birding concepts and techniques applicable to broader environmental studies.

The program, designed for children aged 6-12, meets once a week for three consecutive weeks. During these sessions, Junior Birders will learn about bird characteristics, growth patterns, communication methods, and gain practical experience in observing and identifying local bird species.

Participants are advised to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable shoes. A notebook for recording observations is also recommended. The trail used is paved, making it accessible for Junior Birders of all experiences and abilities. Each participant must be accompanied by an adult.

The sessions will be held on Tuesdays from July 9 to July 23, between 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The cost for residents is $15, while non-residents can participate for $30. Registration is available on RecLink.
