The Carolina Hurricanes are set to maintain their strategy from previous successful games as they face the New York Rangers in Game 6 of their series. The team aims to level the series at 3-3. Coach Rod Brind'Amour has not officially announced the starting goaltender, but Frederik Andersen is anticipated to take the position, as he was absent from morning practice with extra players.

Andersen played a key role in the team's recent victories, having stopped 20 out of 21 shots in the last game. The lineup for tonight's game is expected to remain unchanged among the 18 skaters. Despite Brett Pesce returning to practice after a lower-body injury, Brind'Amour confirmed that he will not be playing.

The Hurricanes have adjusted their power play strategy due to a low success rate in this series. Jake Guentzel has been moved back to the first unit and Teuvo Teravainen has rejoined Brent Burns on the second group.

Betting odds provided by Fanatics Sportsbook list the Hurricanes at -160 for tonight's game.

Projected Lineup:

Forwards: Guentzel, Aho, Svechnikov; Martinook, Drury, Necas; Teravainen, Staal, Jarvis; Kotkaniemi, Kuznetsov, Noesen.

Defense: Slavin and Burns; Skjei and DeAngelo; Orlov and Chatfield.

Goaltenders: Andersen (Backup: Kochetkov).

Injuries include Jesper Fast (Upper-Body) and Brett Pesce (Lower-Body). Scratches are Jackson Blake, Dylan Coghlan, Max Comtois, Brendan Lemieux, Scott Morrow, Bradly Nadeau, Antti Raanta, Ronan Seeley, and Ryan Suzuki.

Power Play Units:

PP1 includes Aho, Guentzel, Jarvis with Svechnikov and Skjei.

PP2 features Kuznetsov with Necas and Noesen alongside Teravainen and Burns.
