The Carolina Hurricanes have outlined key offseason events and times as the summer progresses. While the exact date for the release of the regular season schedule is not confirmed, it has traditionally been announced the day before the NHL Draft. This year, that could mean Thursday, June 27.

There will be no NHL All-Star Game in 2025, but a six-game preseason schedule for the Hurricanes is expected to be released soon. These games are likely to occur between September 27 and October 5.

The NHL Draft will take place at Sphere in Las Vegas, with Round 1 on Friday, June 28 at 7 p.m. ET and Rounds 2-7 on Saturday, June 29 starting at 11:30 a.m. ET. In the United States, ESPN will broadcast Friday's events while ESPN+ will cover Saturday's rounds. The Hurricanes hold nine picks this year and are scheduled to pick 27th overall in the first round.

Free agency begins when players without contracts for the upcoming season can sign with new teams starting at noon ET on July 1. The Hurricanes face a busy period with ten restricted free agents and ten unrestricted free agents.

Following their draft selections, many prospects will head to Raleigh for development camp likely occurring from July 8-12 at Invisalign Arena in Morrisville. This event includes on-ice drills and concludes with a scrimmage.

Finally, marking an unofficial start to their season, the Hurricanes will participate in a four-team gathering alongside major junior prospects and tryout invitees. This year's event is hosted by Nashville Predators in Estero, FL.
