Led by goals from Jack Roslovic and Martin Necas, the Carolina Hurricanes secured a 4-2 victory against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Thursday. This marks their second consecutive win.

The Hurricanes started strong with Seth Jarvis scoring a power-play goal at 12:29 of the first period. Jarvis received a pass from Sebastian Aho and managed to get the puck past Dan Vladar, giving Carolina an early lead.

Early in the second period, Roslovic extended the lead by deflecting a Brent Burns shot into an open net. Just over a minute later, Necas scored his career goal number 100, adding another point for Carolina.

Despite efforts from Jake Bean and Jonathan Huberdeau that brought Calgary closer, Eric Robinson sealed the game for Carolina with an empty-netter in the final moments. Pyotr Kochetkov was solid in goal, making 30 saves out of 32 shots.

Rod Brind'Amour noted some dissatisfaction with his team's performance in the latter half of the game but acknowledged their consistent scoring chances. "A four-goal outing could have been five or six if not for Dan Vladar," he stated.

Martin Necas expressed mixed feelings about their play: "The first half of the game it was 3-0 and we played great... They're a good team. They play good hockey and their goalie (Dan Vladar) was great."

Brind'Amour emphasized special teams' importance: "You have to be good on special teams... overall, that's been the difference." Reflecting on their road trip start, he said: "I don't know that the games have been great, but we're certainly playing hard."

The Hurricanes will face Seattle next on Saturday as they continue their road trip.
