Raleigh Parks has announced a series of holiday programs designed to bring festive cheer to the community. Although tickets for the popular Holiday Express event have sold out, other activities are available for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Among the events is an opportunity to "Come Make Your Own Recycled Wreath" at Pullen Park Community Center on Friday, November 22, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The activity is open to individuals aged 10 and up, with a participation fee of $8.
For those who wish to reach out to Santa Claus, Raleigh Parks offers a chance to "Write a Letter to Santa." This free event will be held at select community centers from Monday, November 25 through Tuesday, December 17 and is open to all ages.
Another highlight is the "Gingerbread Decorating Party" scheduled for Friday, December 6 at Green Road Park. This event runs from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., welcomes participants of all ages, and does not require any fees.
Raleigh Parks also suggests gift cards as an ideal present during this season. These cards can be used for any purchase within Raleigh Parks facilities and come in various denominations.
The department encourages people to stay updated on additional holiday events as they are added by checking online resources such as RecLink.
