This holiday season, there is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by volunteering for projects that benefit both the community and the planet. Volunteers are being sought to assist with environmental initiatives as well as events that directly support Raleigh Parks and the local community.

Pre-registration is required for all volunteer opportunities. Interested individuals can register by selecting an opportunity that appeals to them, which will provide more details and a chance to sign up. Opportunities vary in age range, date, time, and location.

There are two main categories of volunteer activities: environmentally-based projects such as plantings, invasive removals, and mulching; and community-based projects including events and structure enhancements.

Volunteering offers several benefits: "Make a direct impact on our parks, trails, and community," "Build connections within your community and share meaningful experiences with others," and "Spread kindness and joy where it’s needed most, brightening the holidays for all."
