The Raleigh Police Department recently hosted its annual Shop with a Cop program, bringing holiday cheer to over sixty local children. Each child was given a $300 gift card to purchase gifts for themselves and their loved ones, accompanied by police officers at a local Target store.

This initiative aims to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and community members while spreading holiday joy. Officers and children enjoyed bonding over shared interests during the shopping experience.

The event was organized by the Raleigh Police Department's Youth Services Unit and was supported by sponsors including McDonald's-Gaffney Gunter Enterprises, Flowserve of Raleigh, A&M Premier Roofing, Health Blue NC, CPI Security, and Target.

For those interested in participating next year, contact Officer J. Thompson at jeremy.thompson@raleighnc.gov or Officer D. Davis at dwayne.davis@raleighnc.gov. It is important to note that parents cannot register their children on the day of the event.
