The Oberlin Road Streetscape Project is nearing completion, with contractors finalizing traffic signal updates and addressing punch list items. The punch list includes various tasks that need resolution before the project can be declared complete. These tasks range from stormwater concerns to ensuring ADA compliance and fixing concrete cracks.

This initiative is part of a Complete Streets project, which aims to enhance several aspects of the road infrastructure. The improvements include better bus infrastructure, ADA-compliant curb ramps, newly paved roads, revised traffic lanes, and some parking-protected bike lanes.

In addition to these infrastructural enhancements, the project features a public art component. Local artist Chandra Cox collaborates with the living ancestors of Oberlin Village to depict the history of this community through sculptures, banners, and artwork at bus stops. The art installations are expected to be completed by Spring 2025.
