Discover the stories of your past with "Shaking Your Family Tree," a series of interactive genealogy courses. These classes offer participants the chance to explore their roots, uncover family history, and connect with their heritage. Whether starting out or seeking to deepen research, this program caters to all.

Each class will be led by Tanya Foreman, a renowned genealogy expert and founder of Family Matters Genealogy. With years of experience and a passion for helping others trace their ancestry, Tanya brings invaluable insight and expertise to every class.

"Your family’s story is a one-of-a-kind treasure waiting to be uncovered." These courses provide more than just research techniques—they open the door to personal discovery and a stronger sense of identity.

Participants will learn how to piece together the lives and legacies of ancestors using records, photos, and historical documents. The courses also focus on preserving family history for future generations, celebrating cultural heritage through vibrant stories and traditions, building connections with fellow participants, and accessing expert resources with hands-on experience in advanced genealogy tools.

Genealogy is described as an opportunity not only for tracing names but also for honoring the past, connecting with the present, and creating a bridge to the future.

The sessions are scheduled at John P. "Top" Green Community Center on Saturdays: February 8th, April 12th, and May 10th from 10 a.m. to noon. The classes are free for adults who register on RecLink.
