The City of Raleigh Museum is hosting a series of lunchtime lectures, inviting attendees to bring their lunch and enjoy an informative session every third Thursday of the month. Each lecture will last for 30 minutes, with topics changing monthly.

The upcoming lecture will focus on Oakwood Cemetery, described as a "Cemetery Full of Life." The event aims to explore the stories behind the gravestones and how this active burial site functions as a museum. Robin Simonton, Executive Director of Oakwood Cemetery, will present the talk. Attendees can expect to learn about some of the cemetery's notable "residents," uncover hidden stories, and pay tribute to heroes resting beneath the oaks.

The lecture is scheduled for Thursday, January 16th at the City of Raleigh Museum from noon to 12:45 p.m. It is open to all ages and free of charge.
