Amazon has announced a $10,000 donation and volunteer support to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle at their Durham House. The announcement was made in a press release.
According to the press release, Amazon employees volunteered at Ronald McDonald House of Durham, assisting with the upkeep of common areas such as the playroom, dining room, and living room. These areas serve as gathering spaces for families seeking support during their children's medical treatment. In addition to their volunteer efforts, Amazon donated $10,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle to help provide accommodations and essential services for families with children receiving care at Duke University Hospital, University of North Carolina (UNC) Hospitals, and WakeMed Children’s Hospitals.
"Amazon is proud to team up with Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle and support their vision," said Doug Banich, site lead of Amazon’s delivery station in Garner. Banich added that this initiative reflects Amazon's commitment to supporting communities where they operate across the country by combining financial support with direct action through volunteerism. "We are always thankful for the opportunity to be a great community partner as we strive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those around us."
