The Wheel of Time, a popular fantasy book series with over 90 million copies sold, has been adapted for Prime Video. The story is set in a world where magic exists and only certain women can access it. The narrative follows Moiraine, part of the powerful all-female group Aes Sedai, as she embarks on a journey to find the Dragon Reborn who could save or destroy humanity.
Season 3 of The Wheel of Time will premiere on March 13 on Prime Video. This season adds new cast members including Shohreh Aghdashloo and others.
Rosamund Pike returns as Moiraine Damodred, the Aes Sedai member seeking the Dragon Reborn. Her character's journey leads her to Rand al’Thor, played by Josha Stradowski, who discovers he is the Dragon Reborn. Daniel Henney portrays al’Lan Mandragoran, Moiraine’s Warder and protector.
Zoë Robins plays Nynaeve al’Meara, a powerful channeler still training to become an Aes Sedai. Madeleine Madden returns as Egwene al’Vere, another young woman with channeling abilities who joins Moiraine's quest.
Marcus Rutherford appears as Perrin Aybara, a blacksmith with unique powers connected to wolves. Dónal Finn plays Mat Cauthon, Rand’s friend facing challenges from dark forces.
New characters this season include Elaida do Avriny a’Roihan (Shohreh Aghdashloo), Faile Bashere (Isabella Bucceri), Bair (Nukâka Coster-Waldau), Melaine (Salóme Gunnarsdóttir), Rhuarc (Björn Landberg), Melindhra (Synnøve Macody Lund), and Aviendha (Ayoola Smart).
Antagonists returning in Season 3 include Lanfear (Natasha O’Keeffe) and Moghedien (Laia Costa). The Andor royal family will also be featured more prominently with Queen Morgase Trakand (Olivia Williams) and Elayne Trakand’s brothers Lord Galad (Callum Kerr) and Lord Gawyn (Luke Fetherston).
