The Carolina Hurricanes secured a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings at Lenovo Center, marking their sixth consecutive win. Jack Roslovic and Jesperi Kotkaniemi each contributed two points to lead the team.

After trailing by a goal despite dominating early play, Taylor Hall equalized with a deflection just 22 seconds into the second period. Kotkaniemi then assisted Roslovic for a tap-in goal five minutes later, followed by Jalen Chatfield's shot from the right circle, extending the lead to 3-1. Although Detroit narrowed the gap in the third period, Eric Robinson's empty-netter ensured Carolina's win.

Frederik Andersen made 24 saves out of 26 shots, achieving his third straight win. Kotkaniemi recorded his fourth multi-point game this season and reached 30 points for the second time as a Hurricane. His recent performance ranks him third among Carolina players over the past two months.

Roslovic extended his point streak to three games with his 21st goal of the season, nearing his career-high set in Columbus during 2021-22. Seth Jarvis also continued his point streak with an assist on Chatfield's goal.

With this victory, Carolina improved its record when leading after two periods and maintained its strong performance in comeback situations this season. The team has now won six straight games and is among six NHL teams to reach 40 wins in the current season.

Coach Rod Brind'Amour praised Hall, Kotkaniemi, and Roslovic for their impactful performances throughout the game: "I thought all three of them were impactful... Certainly on the goals they were nice plays."

Taylor Hall attributed their success to improved puck luck and consistent work ethic: "We're getting a bit more puck luck... We're asserting ourselves."

Jesperi Kotkaniemi commented on surpassing last season's point total: "It's a boring answer, but I just try to work hard and get a little better every day."

The Hurricanes will travel to Philadelphia for their next game against the Flyers.
