The Carolina Hurricanes are set to face the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, March 15, as they aim to extend their winning streak to seven games. The game will commence at 7:00 p.m. ET and can be watched on FanDuel Sports Network South or listened to via 99.9 The Fan.

Currently holding a record of 40-22-4, the Hurricanes stand second in the Metropolitan Division with 84 points. Their recent victory was a 4-2 win against the Detroit Red Wings on Friday, March 14. In contrast, the Flyers have a record of 28-31-8 and are tied for seventh place in the same division with 64 points.

Reflecting on their last encounter with Detroit, Jesperi Kotkaniemi contributed two assists while Jack Roslovic added one goal and one assist for Carolina. Frederik Andersen secured his third consecutive win by saving 22 out of 24 shots.

In previous meetings against Philadelphia, Carolina achieved victories both at home and away. Martin Necas notably scored in the final minute during their last home match to secure a win.

Seth Jarvis continues his form with an ongoing four-game point streak after assisting in their latest match. Eric Robinson's empty-net goal marked his personal best for a season with thirteen goals.

For goaltending duties, Pyotr Kochetkov is expected to start following Andersen's recent appearance against Detroit. Kochetkov has been successful in his past four starts.

Philadelphia recently ended a five-game losing streak by defeating Tampa Bay Lightning in a shootout but has struggled offensively this year under John Tortorella’s leadership.

In terms of injuries for Carolina, Andrei Svechnikov remains sidelined due to an upper-body injury sustained earlier this month but may return next week according to coach Rod Brind'Amour. Dmitry Orlov also misses action awaiting full recovery from an upper-body issue while William Carrier continues his absence since January due to a lower-body injury; Jesper Fast is ruled out for the entire season.

Post-game plans involve returning immediately back home where they'll prepare over several days before heading off again later next week towards San Jose followed by hosting Nashville thereafter.
