The Yard Waste Center has announced that it is out of dyed brown, black, and red mulches for the spring season. The high demand for brown dyed mulch has led to the center reaching its production capacity for all dyed varieties. However, organic mulch, organic compost, leaf mulch, and undyed mulch remain available for purchase and preorder.

In recognition of Earth Day and International Compost Awareness Week, the Yard Waste Center will offer free organic mulch and leaf mulch from April 22 to May 31. Residents can collect these materials during operating hours using a truck or trailer.

"Due to an overwhelming interest in brown dyed mulch, the Yard Waste Center crew and machines have reached production capacity for all dyed mulches," stated the announcement. Despite this shortage, there are still options available for those seeking alternative types of mulch.
