Spring has arrived, bringing with it opportunities for community events. The City of Raleigh is encouraging residents to engage by inviting the city’s engagement van to their neighborhood gatherings. Interested parties can fill out a request form for the van, and a staff member will confirm reservations and discuss event details. Requests should be made at least two weeks in advance but no more than 90 days prior to the event date.

At these events, residents can learn about local projects, sign up for activities and classes, including free English language programs, and get help navigating city services. The city also organizes monthly visits to various locations around Raleigh.

Upcoming events include:

- March 20: Community Engagement Outreach at Green Road Community Library

- March 25: Outreach at Oberlin Regional Library

- March 29: Anderson Point Community Day

- April 26: Children's Day 2025

- May 3: Outreach at Millbrook Dog Park

- May 17: Wake County Smart Start Block Party

Lance Shinholser, a Community Relations Analyst with the City of Raleigh, is available for further information.
