Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler will address the media on Wednesday to discuss efforts in combating wildfires in Polk County and Western North Carolina. The discussion will also cover the statewide burn ban currently enforced due to dry and windy conditions.
The media availability is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, located at 25 International Blvd., Mill Spring, NC 28756.
The N.C. Forest Service, a division of the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, is actively involved in these fire response efforts. The Tryon International Equestrian Center has been designated as a command center for teams managing the fire response.
