North Carolina Mining Commission to meet in Raleigh on April 8, 2025

The North Carolina Mining Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting at 1 p.m. on April 8, 2025, in Raleigh. The session is open to the public, both in person and online.

According to the announcement, "An agenda and supporting documents for the meeting will be posted on the Commission website prior to the meeting."

The meeting will be held in the Ground Floor Hearing Room of the Archdale Building located at 512 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh 27604. For those unable to attend in person, online participation is available via Webex with Meeting ID 2422 817 0806 and Passcode MC_April2025. Alternatively, participants can join by phone using +1-415-655-0003 US Toll, Access code 2422 817 0806, and Passcode 62027746.

One of the commission’s responsibilities includes setting rules for the use of mining resources in the state. The commission additionally serves as an advisory body to the Governor and creates rules for granting federal aid.
