City of Raleigh issued the following announcement on March 7.

The City of Raleigh Stormwater Division is highlighting and promoting Severe Weather Preparedness Week during March 5-11, 2023. The most common time of the year for Severe Weather in North Carolina is the spring and fall seasons. Residents and visitors in Raleigh should make efforts to ensure they are prepared for severe weather.

Severe Weather can include, but is not limited to thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, and flooding. The best way to stay safe during severe weather is by making a Severe Weather Safety Plan with friends and family to ensure you know where to go and what to do.
