On June 14, the City of Raleigh will unveil the finalists for the upcoming ADU Pitchfest Event at Junction West in Downtown Raleigh. This event will tackle the critical issue of increasing the supply of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) in Raleigh.
After a rigorous selection process, a group of businesses were selected as finalists, poised to present their solutions that could reshape affordable housing in Raleigh. The finalists represent a range of expertise, bringing together cutting-edge technologies, innovative building practices, and forward-thinking financing models.
The finalists include:
- ADUco - The firm connects homeowners wanting ADUs, charitable organizations with funding, and tenants seeking affordable living solutions. They are a full-service accessory dwelling rental matchmaking and management service that believes there are many homeowners in Raleigh who want to be a part of the affordable housing solution.
- DEXFT LLC - The company provides consulting, designing, and construction to build ADUs and other frequent transit development in-fill housing options.
- Meridian Properties manages and develops ADUs in Raleigh for homeowners with low incomes. They create steel-framed, North Carolina-based modular kit homes through partnerships with local and national non-profits.
- Third Estate Analytics - The firm uses computational software that identifies where local law permits ADUs and works with landlords to densify their land through personalized incentive packages.
"The ADU Pitchfest event serves as a platform for these finalists to showcase their ideas and contribute to ongoing efforts of making affordable housing accessible for all residents in Raleigh," said Cristina Leos, Sr. innovation strategist and coordinator of this event. "We are thrilled to provide a forum where these entrepreneurs can share their solutions and inspire meaningful change in our community."
Registration is required for the event.
