“Moonshine by Moonlight: The Heyday of NC’s Juke Joints,” hosted by the Friends of the City of Raleigh Museum, will also feature complimentary libations by Trophy Brewing and Young Hearts Distilling as well as Our State magazines (all while supplies last), plus a rollicking DJ.

The symposium is based on the article, “Jumpin’ at the Juke Joint,” by Billy Warden, in the July edition of Our State Magazine. The author and editor will be on hand to spotlight veterans of North Carolina’s juke joint culture.

The program is part of a new exhibit hosted by the City of Raleigh Museum Entitled, “Pour Me Another: The Story of North Carolina Through Drink.” The exhibit explores the state’s most famous, and infamous, drinks from milk to moonshine. The Friends of COR Museum exhibit will be on display until October 28, 2023. For more information call the museum at 919-996-2220 or visit www.cormuseum.org
