According to the announcement, regular customers who request a second yard waste cart will still have the option to place up to 15 biodegradable paper bags and up to five stick bundles at the curb for collection. This option provides flexibility for customers who may have additional yard waste beyond the capacity of the second cart.

To request a second yard waste cart, customers have two options. They can contact the Customer Service Center at 919-996-3245 or complete the online web form. It is important to note that there is a fee of $50 for the second cart, and it will increase the monthly yard waste service fee from $4.90 to $6.90 per month.

Customers should also be aware that the delivery of the second yard waste cart may take up to eight weeks. However, they can begin using the new cart as soon as they receive it.
