According to the announcement, busking performances are not paid. However, performers can collect tips and sell their merchandise during their set time. The organizers emphasize that aggressive solicitation of tips is not allowed.

"We're now accepting performance applications," said the spokesperson. Interested individuals can submit their applications by Wednesday, Feb. 21. The applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
