Raleigh Parks is inviting the public to attend an open house for the future Smoky Hollow Park. The event will provide an opportunity for individuals to view the current plans and engage with City staff and the project team. According to the Smoky Hollow Park Concept Plan approved by the City Council, the park is designed as a passive park with various features such as a restored Pigeon House Branch, wetlands, pathways, gathering areas, and extensive landscape and naturalized areas.

The open house will take place on Saturday, March 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the site of the future park, located at 1014 N. West Street. Attendees are advised to enter the site through the N. West Street entry. However, in the event of severe weather, the open house will be relocated to Halifax Park Community Center, situated at 1023 Halifax Street.

This open house serves as a precursor to the presentation of the plans at the upcoming Parks, Recreation, and Greenways Advisory Board meeting on March 21. It is an opportunity for the public to gain insight into the proposed park and provide valuable feedback.
