Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources, and the Raleigh Solid Waste Services Department collaborated to enhance Moore Square for the upcoming spring season. The effort involved laying fresh mulch throughout the park, sourced from the Raleigh Yard Waste Center, a division of Raleigh Solid Waste Services.
In a statement, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources expressed their hope for the community to make use of the resources available, stating, "As you prepare this Spring, we hope you visit one of the 200 available recreational spaces and utilize the Raleigh Yard Waste Center products for your landscaping needs."
The joint initiative aimed to beautify Moore Square for residents and visitors to enjoy the outdoor space as the weather transitions to spring. The products from the Yard Waste Center are not only beneficial for enhancing public parks but are also accessible to all residents and businesses in the area.
By utilizing resources like the Yard Waste Center, the community can contribute to the maintenance and improvement of public spaces like Moore Square, creating a more welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy.
