In preparation for the upcoming Raleigh municipal elections on Nov. 5, 2024, the City Council of Raleigh is encouraging residents to actively participate in shaping the future of their city.
"These decisions that shape Raleigh begin with YOU!" emphasized the importance of civic engagement in influencing policies that impact daily life, such as transportation, housing, services, and infrastructure. The City Council, comprised of eight elected officials, plays a significant role in setting these policies.
Residents are urged to "Stay tuned to the Office of Community Engagement for chances to get involved, learn more, and details on our Summer engagement campaign!" as part of efforts to promote community involvement in the electoral process.
To facilitate voter participation, individuals are advised to "For more information, including updating your voter registration, visit the Wake County Board of Elections webpage." Additionally, questions can be directed to the City of Raleigh's Community Engagement team at community.engagement@raleighnc.gov.
As the elections draw near, Raleigh residents are reminded of their crucial role in electing council members and the mayor who will shape the city's future.
