All guardians are invited to unleash their dogs for the first HOWL-O-Ween event at Carolina Pines Community Center Dog Park.

Dogs will participate in a pet parade and costume contest. Other activities include tricks for treats, bone bobbing, and photos in a pumpkin-themed booth. Categories include spookiest, cutest, most creative, and best dog/owner duo.

Vendors, merchants, and sponsors will be available for questions. Treat bags with goodies and coupons will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis; pre-registered participants are guaranteed their share.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is free of charge and open to all ages. Registration is available on RecLink.

Dogs must be leashed when outside fenced areas, up to date on rabies vaccinations, and behave safely around other dogs. Dogs displaying aggressive behavior will be asked to leave.
