Community centers host creative night out events for adults

Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin, City of Raleigh | City of Raleigh - Government

The community is invited to participate in a new series of creative events designed to foster artistic expression and social interaction. Each session will feature a different creative project paired with a mocktail, offering participants an opportunity to engage in hands-on activities while meeting new people or reconnecting with friends.

The upcoming sessions include candle making, charm jewelry creation, and flower lantern crafting. These events are scheduled at various community centers throughout the city:

- Candle Making:

- Monday, Oct. 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hill Street Neighborhood Center

- Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Optimist Community Center

- Charm Jewelry:

- Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Optimist Community Center

- Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Kiwanis Park

- Flower Lanterns:

- Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Kiwanis Park

- Monday, Dec. 2 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hill Street Neighborhood Center

All sessions are open to individuals aged 18 and up and have a registration fee of $12 per participant.

"Get ready to unleash your inner artist and mingle with like-minded creatives at our new series!" reads the announcement for the event series.
