The Cold Water Paddling Education event aims to educate participants on the essentials of cold water safety and preparation. Attendees will learn about appropriate clothing for cold water conditions, including when to wear a dry suit or wet suit. Additional considerations for planning a winter paddling trip will also be covered.

The event begins with a classroom session at 10 a.m., followed by an on-water experience starting at 1 p.m. Participants are encouraged to attend even if they do not own a wetsuit or dry suit, as observation is also part of the learning process.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Forest Ridge Park. It is open to all ages and free of charge. Interested individuals can register through RecLink.

For more details about the event and Day 2 registration information, visit Cold Water Class Weekend.
