The City of Raleigh is offering funding opportunities for nonprofit arts organizations through its Arts Commission's Grant Program. Nonprofits based in Raleigh with 501(c)3 tax-exempt status, that create arts programs meaningful to the community, are encouraged to apply.

The grant program is a key part of the City Council's commitment to cultural development in Raleigh. It offers grants up to $15,000 annually to support arts programs and events accessible to the public. Applications for the 2025-2026 cycle are now open and must be submitted by January 6, 2025. The funded activities should occur between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.

To assist potential applicants, the city is hosting free "Intro to Grant Funding Workshops" this fall. These workshops require pre-registration and are mandatory for Raleigh nonprofits applying for grant funding for the first time in this cycle.

Further details on the grant program and workshop registration can be found on the program’s webpage.
