The City of Raleigh is inviting the community to participate in an open house event at Walnut Creek Wetland Park. This initiative aligns with the 2014 Master Plan Design, which aims to address food deserts by creating a garden space that provides access to fresh produce and raises awareness about food scarcity issues.

The city encourages public involvement in designing this space to ensure it meets community needs and remains accessible to everyone. The open house will take place on Tuesday, October 29, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Walnut Creek Wetland Park. Activities are planned for all ages, and refreshments will be available.

For those unable to attend or who wish to contribute further, there is an option to complete a survey by November 12.

"Help us design this space! Your feedback will help us create a place that is accessible to all and reflective of the community’s needs."
