Martin Necas scored a decisive goal with just 31 seconds left in the third period, leading the Carolina Hurricanes to a 6-4 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers at Lenovo Center. This win marks Carolina's seventh consecutive triumph.

Necas' winning goal came after a rebound from Jesperi Kotkaniemi's shot, maintaining pressure in the Flyers' zone. After being named the NHL's Second Star of the Week, Necas extended his point streak to seven games, accumulating 17 points and achieving multiple points in four straight games.

Jackson Blake scored Carolina's first goal following Travis Konecny's opener for Philadelphia. The Hurricanes took control in the second period with two quick goals. Eric Robinson scored at 8:56, followed by Jordan Martinook less than a minute later, making it 3-1.

Philadelphia managed to level the score before Jack Roslovic restored Carolina's lead early in the third period. Konecny tied it again for Philadelphia, but Necas' late goal and an empty-netter from Seth Jarvis secured Carolina's win.

Pyotr Kochetkov recorded his fifth consecutive personal win with 12 saves on 16 shots.

Necas' seven-game point streak matches his previous career high with nearly double his past point production. He now has 20 points this season, ranking second most through 11 games in team history behind Eric Staal.

Other notable performances include Andrei Svechnikov extending his point streak to six games and Dmitry Orlov scoring against his former team on Sunday, now having points in three straight games.

Jack Roslovic continues to excel offensively with seven goals this season, tying him with Necas for most on the team. The Hurricanes have faced 5-on-3 situations in all three home games so far, prompting coach Rod Brind'Amour to emphasize discipline moving forward.

Rod Brind'Amour commented on their performance: "I don't think we were our sharpest... I give Jordan Martinook a lot of credit... Marty Necas kind of took over there at the end."

Martin Necas described his game-winning moment: "When I passed it to Orly... I saw 34 seconds left... Luckily, it went in."

Jack Drury spoke about their mindset: "We're just day-to-day right now... It was a good win tonight."

The Hurricanes will next face off against Pittsburgh on Thursday after taking Wednesday off from practice.
