The Carolina Hurricanes are set to face the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday, November 9, as they embark on a three-game road trip. The game is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network South and available via the FanDuel Sports App. Fans can also listen to the game on 99.9 The Fan or through the Hurricanes App.

The Hurricanes enter the matchup with a strong record of 10-2-0, currently tied for first in the Metropolitan Division. They are riding an eight-game winning streak, having defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-1 in their last outing. Jack Roslovic was instrumental in that victory, contributing two goals and one assist, while Jalen Chatfield achieved his first three-point night in his NHL career.

Several players are maintaining personal streaks heading into Saturday's game. Martin Necas has accumulated 18 points over eight games, Andrei Svechnikov has nine points in seven games, Dmitry Orlov has five points in four games, and Eric Robinson has three points in three games. Goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov is also on a roll with six consecutive wins.

Jack Roslovic stands out among NHL skaters with nine goals this season and all ten of his points have been earned at even strength. Kochetkov continues to start in goal due to Frederik Andersen's absence from injury.

On the other side, the Colorado Avalanche have had a challenging start to their season with a record of 6-8-0. They rank near the bottom of the league defensively but boast an effective power play percentage of 36.2%. Nathan MacKinnon leads the league with 25 points while Cale Makar leads defensemen with 23 points.

In terms of injuries for Carolina, Jesper Fast remains out for the season since August. Riley Stillman is progressing towards full fitness after practicing without restrictions since mid-October but no debut date is set yet according to coach Rod Brind'Amour. Goaltender Frederik Andersen remains sidelined week-to-week due to a lower-body injury.

The Hurricanes will wear their white uniforms for this game and are scheduled to practice on Sunday before playing against Vegas on Monday.
