Families in Raleigh have the opportunity to participate in a unique event that combines history and creativity. The program invites participants to decorate gingerbread houses inspired by the city's historic sites.

The event will commence at Fred Fletcher Park, where attendees will board a trolley for a ride to Latta University Historic Park. There, they will explore the park's history before returning via trolley to the Borden Building at Fletcher Park. Once back, participants can build and decorate their own gingerbread houses, drawing inspiration from the Latta house.

Each registrant will receive their own gingerbread house along with decorating supplies. The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th, from 1 to 3 p.m., and is open to individuals aged five and older. The cost of participation is $15 per person.

Interested parties are encouraged to register through RecLink.
