Join trained lifeguard instructors at Pullen Aquatic Center on select Friday nights from 5 to 7 p.m. to see if you have what it takes to become a City of Raleigh lifeguard. Participants will practice prerequisite swimming skills, including the Swim-Tread-Swim sequence and Timed Brick Retrieval.

These events are free of charge. Individuals over 18 can sign up online, while those under 18 must register at one of the aquatic facilities with a parent or guardian. This initiative offers an opportunity to build confidence in the water and begin the journey toward becoming a trained lifeguard with the City of Raleigh. Basic swimming skills are required.

The sessions will be held at Pullen Aquatic Center starting December 6, open to individuals aged 15 and up.
