Raleigh Parks has released a new "Did You Know" video, highlighting the efforts of Brett Embler and his team at Walnut Creek Athletic Complex. The video provides an inside look at the detailed work required to maintain one of Raleigh's top athletic facilities.

Brett Embler, who is a Natural Resources and Parks Crew Supervisor, leads a team of three full-time staff members dedicated to keeping the fields in excellent condition for both youth and adult sports. Their daily tasks include leveling playing surfaces, marking field dimensions accurately, and mowing outfields with specialized equipment.

“Our goal is to provide a top-notch experience for everyone who comes to Walnut Creek,” says Embler. “Whether it’s a child stepping onto a field for the first time or an adult returning for a league game, it’s rewarding to see them enjoy the facilities we’ve worked hard to maintain.”

The video serves as a tribute to Raleigh Parks staff members, recognizing their behind-the-scenes contributions that keep parks vibrant and inviting. This episode emphasizes the meticulous care and passion that make Walnut Creek Athletic Complex an outstanding facility.

Located in southeast Raleigh, Walnut Creek Athletic Complex hosts various youth and adult sports events throughout the year. It reflects Raleigh Parks’ dedication to offering high-quality spaces for recreation and community interaction.
