The holiday season in Raleigh is set to be filled with various arts and cultural events, running from December 4 through New Year's Eve. These events are organized by Raleigh Arts Partners and aim to bring the community together for a festive celebration.
On December 4, the North Carolina Museum of History will present "Holiday Traditions You'll Only Find in the Old North State," an online event where historian Heather Leah shares stories about traditional Carolina Christmases.
From December 6 to December 7, the North Carolina Symphony, led by Carlos Migel Prieto, will perform selections from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Handel’s Messiah at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts. This performance will include collaboration with the North Carolina Master Chorale.
Theatre in the Park will host Ira David Wood III’s "A Christmas Carol" from December 6 to December 8 at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. This musical adaptation of Dickens' classic celebrates its 51st anniversary this year.
