The Capture It! Stormwater Arts Contest is currently accepting entries from Raleigh students in grades 8 through 12. The contest encourages young artists to depict ways to protect streams and lakes from water pollution through visual art.

Participants have until February 28 to submit their work, which can be either artwork or a 60-second video. Winners in each category will receive a $500 cash prize. These winners will be honored at the Earth Day event at Dorothea Dix Park, with selected artworks displayed at the Pullen Arts Center Youth & Teen Gallery.

To enter, students must choose between creating artwork or a video that illustrates methods to prevent water pollution in Raleigh. Entries should be submitted via the Capture It! Stormwater Arts Contest website along with an application.

This contest is part of the Environmental Awards Program, which includes various awards and contests for Raleigh residents and supports Raleigh's Community Climate Action Plan.
