The Carolina Hurricanes have announced the activation of forward Jack Drury from injured reserve. This decision comes after Drury, who is 24 years old, missed ten games following hand surgery on December 12. Before his injury, Drury accumulated three goals and six assists in 28 games this season for the Hurricanes. Eric Tulsky, General Manager of the team, shared this update.
Drury was drafted by the Hurricanes in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft. Over his career in the NHL, he has played in 142 regular-season games with a total of 46 points. His contributions to the American Hockey League (AHL) include playing for the Chicago Wolves and helping them secure the Calder Cup in 2022.
In addition to activating Drury, Juha Jaaska has been assigned to the Chicago Wolves. Jaaska made his NHL debut recently during a game against Florida and is originally from Helsinki, Finland. He has been productive in both Liiga and AHL play over recent seasons.
The team's announcement provides an opportunity for both players to continue developing their careers as they contribute to their respective teams.
