Sebastian Aho scored a crucial overtime goal, leading the Carolina Hurricanes to a 4-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The game, held at Lenovo Center, saw Aho contribute significantly with three points (1G, 2A), reaching his 600th NHL career point. This achievement places him alongside Ron Francis and Eric Staal as the third player in franchise history to reach this milestone.

The Penguins initially took a 2-0 lead within the first period. However, Carolina responded with three goals in the second period, taking a temporary lead before Pittsburgh equalized in the third. Seth Jarvis also made notable contributions with three points (2G, 1A), including his 100th career assist.

Dustin Tokarski secured his third win in four starts for Carolina by saving 16 of 19 shots. The victory marked Carolina's third multi-goal comeback of the season.

Coach Rod Brind'Amour praised his team for their resilience after an initial setback: "I give the guys a ton of credit because of the way things went (last) night... I think we got what we deserved tonight."

Seth Jarvis expressed satisfaction with their performance: "We found our game... It always kind of felt like we were going to get back in the game and have a chance."

Brind'Amour commended Aho's determination during overtime: "He was having a great game... You can tell when a guy's had enough and he just wanted to keep going."

Jarvis also highlighted their effective penalty kill strategy: "(Tim Gleason) calls it the 'give a .' It just means caring a little bit more than them and outworking them."

Carolina is set to face Tampa Bay next on Tuesday.
