With 18.3 seconds left in a tied game, Seth Jarvis scored the winning goal for the Carolina Hurricanes, securing a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins at Lenovo Center. This marks the Hurricanes' third consecutive win.

Jarvis capitalized on a turnover by Boston when Nikita Zadorov's stick broke during an attempted pass, leaving the puck available for Carolina's No. 24 to score from a prime position.

The Hurricanes initially led twice in the game. Sebastian Aho opened scoring with his fourth goal in five games at 6:29 with a shorthanded solo effort. After forcing a turnover at the Bruins' blue line, Aho managed to outmaneuver Boston goalie Joonas Korpisalo with a backhand shot.

Boston's Morgan Geekie equalized late in the first period, but Brent Burns restored Carolina’s lead shortly after with a deflected shot. Despite being outchanced significantly in the second period, Boston tied again early in the third period through another Geekie goal before Jarvis sealed their fate.

Pyotr Kochetkov delivered his third straight win as goaltender for Carolina by saving 32 of 34 shots.

Seth Jarvis’ late-game heroics placed him alongside notable franchise moments for late go-ahead goals. The Hurricanes are tied with two other teams this season for most final-minute go-ahead goals.

Sebastian Aho reached his 60th point of the season, marking seven seasons where he achieved this milestone within an 82-game stretch. Only Eric Staal and Ron Francis have surpassed him in this regard within team history.

Kochetkov equaled his personal best for wins in one season and has consistently performed well across recent games.

Due to Dmitry Orlov's absence because of injury, Riley Stillman made his first home appearance for Carolina during this regular season game.

The Hurricanes celebrated their league-leading 24th home win amid their ongoing streak of sellouts dating back to February last year. The team's average attendance reached new heights last season when they sold out every home game for the first time ever.

Carolina head coach Rod Brind'Amour acknowledged that while it wasn’t their best performance, individual efforts made all the difference: "We played a game not too long ago where we outchanced a team two-to-one and lost... But in games where you just don't have it, you need some individual efforts."

Sebastian Aho also reflected on securing points despite not playing optimally: "Obviously, you play to win hockey games and get points... We got the job done but it wasn't pretty."

Seth Jarvis noted both self-inflicted challenges and pressure from Boston contributed to how events unfolded: "A lot was with us... Obviously they did a good job pressuring us but much of it was self-inflicted."

Jarvis shared relief about scoring: "My confidence shooting lately hasn't been very high... so it was nice seeing one drop."

The Hurricanes will take Friday off before resuming practice Saturday ahead of facing Winnipeg Jets on Sunday at Lenovo Center.
