Crystal Schiller, PhD has been appointed as the new Director of the UNC Center for Women’s Mood Disorders. Previously, she served as the Associate Director under the leadership of Dr. Samantha Meltzer-Brody.
Dr. Schiller is an associate professor of psychiatry and a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in reproductive-related mood disorders. She is acknowledged as a dedicated researcher, clinician, and educator. Dr. Schiller has consistently secured NIH funding over the years. She leads the UNC School of Medicine Psychology Internship Program and is the Associate Director of the UNC T32 Postdoctoral Training Program focusing on Reproductive Mood Disorders. Over the past decade, Dr. Schiller has significantly contributed to the mentorship of various students, psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty. This underscores her strong commitment to guiding future clinician-scientists.
