The Carolina Hurricanes are gearing up for their match against the Washington Capitals, with Frederik Andersen expected to guard the net. The game is set to take place on Thursday in Washington, D.C.

Frederik Andersen's recent performance has been strong, boasting a 7-2 record in his last nine appearances, permitting only 17 goals. He aims to recover from the defeat he experienced in Boston on Saturday, the first in over a month.

The lineup in front of Andersen is likely to mirror the skaters who faced Buffalo last Tuesday. Jesperi Kotkaniemi remains off the list due to an undisclosed injury, while Scott Morrow is anticipated to be the healthy scratch.

The odds for the upcoming game, provided by Fanatics Sportsbook, list the Canes at -160. The projected lineup for tonight includes forwards such as Jarvis, Aho, and Blake, and defensemen Slavin and Burns. The backup goalie is Piotr Kochetkov.

The team is grappling with several injuries. William Carrier is sidelined with a lower-body injury, Jesper Fast is out for the season due to a neck injury, and Jesperi Kotkaniemi has no timetable due to his latest injury update on April 8.

Tonight’s power-play units consist of Aho, Blake, Hall, Jarvis, and Gostisbehere on the first team, with Jost, Roslovic, Stankoven, Svechnikov, and Burns comprising the second.

The game in Washington begins at 7:30 p.m.
