Governor announces reward in Brunswick County murder case

Today, Governor Josh Stein announced that the state is offering a reward for information about the suspect Bryan Tyronne Montreal Goodwin in connection to a murder investigation. The reward offered is up to $25,000 for information that leads to Goodwin's location and arrest. Goodwin, aged 31, is a suspect in the murder of Jaquin Kymane Bethea Jr., aged 33.

The murder took place on August 6, 2024, when the body of Jaquin Kymane Bethea was discovered at an abandoned residence on Ridge Road in the Supply area of Brunswick County. Bethea had sustained two gunshot wounds, and investigators found multiple shell casings at the scene, leading them to identify Goodwin as a suspect.
